Altruvest 2007
Stewardship Report
April, 2007
Rob Follows, Founder, Altruvest Charitable Services, to Trek to North and South Poles
Rob Follows and his wife, Katrina Sandling, are once again on a mission for Altruvest.
They are going, literally, to the ends of the earth - the North Pole this year and
the South next - to raise both awareness and funds for Altruvest. This after having
climbed the world's tallest mountains on each of the seven continents, Everest
being the last in May, 2006.
With the assistance of one of the world's best guides, Rob and Katrina will
be making the grueling journey to the North Pole in mid April 07 (just after sun
up in the arctic - and it won't set for several months.)
Their goal is to cover 25 kilometers per day. Melting and shifting ice can create
large bodies of water between them and their goal - which means lengthy detours
that they will have to ski around trailing 150+ pound sledges behind them.
